11/2016 – 12/ 2017 Technology Solutions Manager
I started 2017 promoting to Technology Solutions Manager. One of the most ambitious challenges on this stage is the chance to go through on two big areas simultaneously:
Tecnology Solutions
As Spain’s Head of Technology, the PMO I manage performs belong to me the following responsibilities:
- Implementing from scratch Close-up's Spain Business Intelligence cloud platform (BiCloud). Infrastructure, development and functional coordination is every day’s task to get the product. BiCloud mixes several technologies that results on a safe, stable and extremely useful product (Azure, Active Directory, Azure SQL Server, Visual Studio 2015 (C#, HTML5), Power BI and APP Services).
- Development of many interactive dashboards for Close-Up's portfolio and first customer’s orders.
- Development of many software applications for several purposes as health professional data caption on our surveys club (corporate big data feeding), sellers’ rewards management, etc.
Such applications are being developed using different technologies depending on each specific case (UI developed on HTML 5, ASP (Visual Studio 2015), JavaScript, ANGULARJS, CSS, JAVA (Eclipse), SQL (SQL Server / Oracle), NOSQL (MongoDB). Every project source code is ensured using strict version control (Team Foundation for ,net and GIT for Java).
Business Development
Development of many commercial activities on the pharmaceutical industry main laboratories. These actions are performed sometimes making collaboration strategies with other business lines and sometimes facing the cold selling. The tasks, include from high impact dynamic slideshows, industry events sponsorship (ex. AIMFA) or antispam mailing campaigns with their tracking reports up to specialized magazines publications.
2013 – 11/2016 CRM Service Manager
The role assumed by Eduardo at this enterprise in the beginning was Western Europe and Africa IT Service Manager. Only some months later, he assumed also Eastern Europe, Middle
East and Asia, saving a lot of money on the company.
The main product is a Pharmacy Labs oriented CRM that manages the field force. It is developed using different technologies according to its supported platforms (.Net, SOA, SQL Server, iOS, Android and Win RT).
Eduardo’s main task is managing the service team to ensure the service quality (2º and 3º level support) in all the development teams globally distributed.

Avanade GDN Global Delivery Management (Avanade's Factories Management)
Eduardo takes the management of the GDN’s tasks. This role includes the following tasks:
Telefónica – Microsoft
Eduardo is involved in the project as a Microsoft’s Program Manager. The global project (more than 20M€) consist in the development of a highly advanced Pay per View solution (IPTV – OTT) and the deployment in several countries at Latam and Europe. This solution gives last generation video features into many devices through different platforms and devices (smartphones, SD/HD TVs, IPhone, Android, IPad, PC, Media Ibox, etc.). To success in this project there are 3 global separated projects (IPTV, OTT, Xbox) and 2 more per every local integration (Local IPTV and Local OTT). Eduardo is involved in the global and in Spain Local integration. There are three main companies involved, Microsoft as Product Manager, Telefónica as Solution Owner and LabOne as Developer.
The main tasks assigned to Eduardo at this project are listed below:
Government Health Ministry of Spain
Eduardo is managing a project module where the purpose is integrating two new ways of registering medical appointments. These two new ways will let the spanish citizens schedule their appointments throw an automated phone system as well as tactile kiosks for the users.
Eduardo manages a development team to implement the module, get aligned with the other development teams and manage the requirements and expectations of the other figures of the project (Accenture, Indra and Health Ministry representative.
The whole solution has such a complex structure that meets different technologies such as .Net Sql, Server, Oracle, Web Services and so on.
HOLCIM. (Important Cement Multinational)
Eduardo performs the main organizational tasks of Project 7 management.
Project 7 involves the main system and application deployment at EMEA. This includes even operative system and corporative applications and tools that are used daily.
Eduardo designs the deployment model, and takes an active position negotiating numerous project aspects with different figures and departments (Project Managers, Directive committee, Communication and Marketing, etc.). This deployment model is executed in 9000 machines around 22 countries all over Europe. Every document and meeting is strictly performed in english language.
Eduardo’s tasks at this Project include the listed below:
Avanade Intranet’s Flex pay site (HR dep.)
Eduardo is taking several roles in this project. He is analyzing with Human Resources department many aspects of the site, looking for weaknesses and improving its functionalities to find possible issues and points to improve. Once those points are found, Eduardo technically analyzes the solution and implements the solution with the work team.
This application manages different aspects of the employee’s retribution. Not only the salary, it also manages the extended benefits use and the flexible payment options.
This is quite a bit important application in the company and many other business are evaluating it to buy it and deploy it themselves.
As long as the application is susceptible to be sold to the rest of countries where Avanade has presence. Eduardo took an active position belonging the RRHH department in this operation. This negotiation phase demands a good work in customer expectations and needs as well as technical and functional particular requirements.
The technology used is .Net, SQL Server 2008, JavaScript and Ajax.
TELEPIZZA. Major Spanish food delivery company
This project consists in the development of a complex POS Terminal that includes various advanced functionalities such as a promotional engine, composed products, portfolio manager, telephony integration, customer segmentation and so on.
The technology used was .Net, Avenew, and Oracle.
Eduardo, after getting success in the design phase, had an active participation in shelling and planning steps. Finally, Eduardo assumes the management of one of the three development teams during the whole project lifecycle. In certain moments, Eduardo even has the opportunity of manage the rest of the development teams and take significant decisions to ensure the project success. Those tasks include the following ones:
REALE. Leader Insurance Company
Eduardo had a Technological Consultant role in this Project. The customer needs a tool to manage his projects throw the whole lifecycle. He needs to have determinate visibility to several people in the company such us area managers, developers, or even directors and each profile will see and do the appropriate thing according to their previously customized role.
Finally the solution is raised using the following tools:
After the solution approval, Eduardo manages the implantation of the mentioned tools whit in the development team and a fully customized tool that covered the company needs.
That developed application runs on Microsoft Sharepoint Services and is integrated with the other products.
HAVAS MEDIA. Leading advertising company
The application that is developed in this company manages the main business functionalities such as billing, advertising campaigns in any media, customer and supplier management, etc.
Eduardo’s tasks in this project are in one hand the security module responsibility and in the other hand identifying, managing and monitoring the maintenance and development made by the developer team (6 people).
In addition, Eduardo and other project members defined and developed load tests to ensure the quality of the system. This was made using Visual Studio 2008 native tools.
CADOR. Group of companies for the design of business spaces
The purpose of this project was performing an audit that studied several modules of the mail business application for the company.
The application met 40 projects of high complexity in different technologies coexisting (Sharepoint 2003, K2 workflows .Net 2003, Framework .Net 2.0 y 3.0, c#.Net, Vb6, Sql server 2000, Navision, etc…).
The audit results were based the following criteria:
We located the causes for which the performance, security, manageability, and stability were deficient and gave the opportunity to solve it.
GESTAMP. Automotive steel company.
The Tasks that Eduardo made in this project were those related to redesign the data model of the company inventory and its migration from Oracle 9i to SQL Server 2005 He also built the views needed to visualize the data from a .Net based application. Up to then, that data model was consumed from a closed application.
April 2007 - December 2007
Position: Analyst programmer
Customers: Hospital Arrixaca, Banif, Seacex
Hospital de Murcia
This project was developed in Windows mobile for a hospital located in Murcia. Every nurse in this hospital has a PDA (HP 2xxx series) and their application make them capable to has access to the server data, calculate medicine amount for each patient and other tasks like synchronizing info with mates.
Banif (Banco Santander Private Banking)
Eduardo works together with the executive team of Banco Santander to define the application functionality and analyze the technical solution. The collaboration consisted of designing and developing the director’s team dashboards. In addition, the development team had to integrate the application with the corporative SAP modules. This application is being used to assist the BANIF assessors at real time and make a better investment for the customers.
Seacex. Government culture administration
Eduardo was the Project Manager of some solutions in this company. The most important one was a web based application for Public administration that contains the details of art events, art suppliers and art pieces. This solution combined some technologies such as .Net, Ajax, SQL 2005 and IIS. This web application resides in the company intranet and is accessed by a large amount of users simultaneously. In this case the developer team was outsourced for Aptivo Consulting. Eduardo also develops the Active Directory integration module for the application.

Eduardo took the management of IT in WebKarisma and design the website. Work together with Marketing and General Directors. Follow up and validating of the developments made by the development team at Bulgaria. Every communication was in English.

Eduardo had a divided role in this company. A 50% of time is used as Key Account Manager and the rest is used as Project Manager. I’ll describe the responsibilities and tasks bellow:
The final customers for the projects Eduardo made in Itos were customers such as Seur, Indra, Redur, etc…
Eduardo participated in events with customers like HP, Indra or Atos Origin to get opportunities together.
November 2005 - February 2006

Enresa. (Goverment radiactive residues treatment)
Evolutionary and corrective maintenance of several Internal Management Applications for the radiactive residues treatment.
One of the most important responsibilities in the project was defining the evaluation criteria for the development of the developer team in the demanded applications. That definition was applicable for applications developed in Vb and SQL languages.
There were several tasks performed such as Analysis, evaluation, planning, testing and developing of different applications for the public administration. Those applications were used by some users simultaneously. The used tools and technologies were the followings: Vb6, Vb .Net, Visual SourceSafe and Microsoft SQL Server 2000.

GlaxoSmithKline (Pharmacy industry leader)
The role Eduardo has in this company was program analyst. The most important tasks developed in this company were planning and developing of the official website of a prestigious pharmacy laboratories. The application was developed with opensource technology (JSP, Weblogic and content manager OpenCMS).
Notary Sta. Bárbara
DLLs Migration in VBA. Those DLL will be used in Microsoft Word and connect to a remote SQL BBDD. The application is used by some lawyers in a notary.

Different tasks and responsibilities were assumed by Eduardo at Microsoft. He entered on the MSDN Evangelist Division and took part of the team with developing, analysis and marketing tasks.

Position: Functional Analyst
Customer: Ahold Supermercados
This was the first professional experience for Eduardo. The role he had in Ahold was Functional Analyst (always guided by a Senior Functional Analyst and the Project Manager). He had the opportunity of starting a financial project (5 months duration) for another department of the company.
The application resides in a central server AS400 and is used by more than 400 malls all over the country. The system gives autonomy enough to decide which bank to use to reduce costs in electronic payments. This project resulted in more than 500.000€ annual savings. Eduardo´s participation in the application was design, documentation, coordination between departments, developer team management and testing.

everis (Disruption Area)
I join everis in order to push one of the most important Artificial Intelligence assets of the company.
This solution gives a huge help to customers let them to automate their processes on an ultra-easy way. From a learning from demonstration principle, users with no programming or technical knowledge are perfectly capable to automate complex processes and daily tasks.
Using (one more time) agile (SCRUM) methodology, I take control of 4 different work teams (local development, outsourced freelances, centers and testing team) with more than 30 people involved and beat more than one thousand issues on some weeks (.net & Python). Different communication channels were adapted to the stakeholders including, documentation, workshops, customer presentations or even interactive dashboards (Power Bi).

This challenge requires a continuous synergies research mixing the whole previous experience in terms of technical knowledge, business processes, methodology and people management.
Managing both production áreas in the Company (Service Engineering de 40 FTE y Service Desk 10 FTE) and reporting to Vice President, I coordinate these areas with Commercial and administration in order to ensure the business goals.
